The City of Deep Webs (5e Campaign Setting)/Alear/Qon

Slender Male, X00-year-old white hair. Qon Alear was the third born and only male noble of House Alear. Matron Mother Zesstra had some hope that Qon Alear would by magically inclined to train at Chantry but this was not the case.

Still, Qon proved himself a competent fighter and commander at his time at the Blades. Qon was taught to serve females at a young age, serves as many positions at House Alear.

Qon’s first responsibility is the security of House Alear and the protection of this mother and sisters. Qua is also in charge of the day to day tasks of running the fields, controlling the slaves and selling and buying of mundane supplies for the house, with the role of house wizard arguably fallen on Talace.

Qon is a humble servant of his mother, and fear and respect keep him in his male place. Qon does not share the same respect for his twin sisters but equal amounts of fear all the same.

Ironically, Qon is most appreciative of Talace as her efforts with the fields and crops have made his job easier and brought him recognition from Matron Mother Zesstra. However, Qon is also tasked by Matron Mother Zesstra with keeping an eye on Talace and reporting back anything that may “embarrass” house Alear to Matron Mother Zesstra.

This has caused Talace to resent Qon and mistrust her male security escorts. Qon knowns how dangerous the Under Dark is and how many people would love to do unspeakable things to a naive Drow female. With this in mind, Qon burdens Talace’s resentment as the price of existence, because ultimately, it’s what Matron Mother Zesstra wants and that's all that matters in the end.
