Undead Paragon[edit]

An Undead Paragon is a paragon class for undead, it improve their ability of being unliving monstrosities. The class can also be used to make level adjustments much better, however at the cost of class levels.

Making a Undead Paragon[edit]

Abilities: No ability score is particularly important for an Undead Paragon, it mostly depend on the Undead's own fighting style.

Races: Only Undead or Augmented Undead may enter this paragon class, and none of that 'count as Undead' shit.

Alignment: Any, though overwhelmingly nongood.

Starting Gold: As Fighter.

Starting Age: Simple.

Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the Undead Paragon.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A Undead Paragon is proficient with one simple or martial weapon but no armor or shield.

Level Adjustment Replacement: Upon taking a level of Undead Paragon, you may trade a single level adjustment and a single class level (not any other combinations) for two Undead Paragon levels. The level adjustment traded in MUST come from an undead race or template. You may do so an indefinite amount of time until you either no longer have LA or class level.

In effect this allow you to turn your level adjustment into Undead Paragon level, however you essentially double it.

Undead Specialization: A 1st level Undead Paragon must choose an undead specialization from the list below:

Amnesiac Undead: The Undead Paragon do not remember it past, however it fragmented flashes of memory sometimes well up in your briefly. It may make untrained skill checks as if it were trained. In addition it is immune to effects which cause further memory loss, such as the effect of the waters of Lethe or some uses of modify memory. The base attack bonus of Undead Paragon class is Moderate. The skill progression of the Undead Paragon change to 4 + Int each level and it gain the class skills of a Bard.

Ancient Scholar: The Undead Paragon gain Bardic Knowledge and gain a +2 bonus on all Knowledge checks (including bardic knowledge). The Undead Paragon may use it Intelligence instead of it Charisma modifier for all of it Undead ability, including Unholy Toughness and Unholy Regeneration. The Undead Paragon gain the class skills of a Wizard.

Crumbling Priest: The Undead Paragon gain spells as a 1st level Cleric this stack and can be advanced with Cleric levels, it may use it Wisdom instead of it Charisma modifier for all of it Undead ability, including Unholy Toughness and Unholy Regeneration. At each 3rd level and each 3 level thereafter the Undead Paragon gain spellcasting as if it took another Cleric level.

Cursed by the Gods: The Undead Paragon gain ApsotateEE as a bonus feat. The base attack bonus of Undead Paragon class is Good (as a Fighter) and the Fortitude save progression is good.

Fallen Knight: The Undead Paragon gain proficiency with all simple and martial weapon, all armor as well as all shields (including tower shields). It also gain Weapon Focus as a bonus feat. The base attack bonus progression of Undead Paragon class become Good (as a Fighter). The skill progression of the Undead Paragon change to 4 + Int each level and it gain the class skills of a Fighter.

Forsaken Thief: The Undead Paragin gain +1d6 point of Sneak Attack, at 3rd level and every 3 level thereafter it gain another +1d6. The base attack bonus of Undead Paragon class is Moderate (as a Cleric) and the Reflex save progression is good. The skill progression of the Undead Paragon change to 4 + Int each level and it gain the class skills of a Rogue.

Undying Nobility: The Undead Paragon is an ancient noble, it start with a derelict small castle for free and possess the Undead LeadershipLbM feat as a bonus feat even if you do not meet the prerequisites, however your cohort only awaken once you reach character level 6th. The skill progression of the Undead Paragon change to 4 + Int each level and it gain the class skills of a Aristocrat.

Turn Resistance (Ex): A 2nd level Undead Paragon has a Turn resistance equal to half it class level.

Undead Bonus Feat: At 2nd level and even level thereafter, the undead paragon receive a bonus [Undead] feat which she meet the prerequisite of.

Unholy Toughness (Ex): A 3rd level Undead Paragon gain Anima Toughness as a bonus feat. If it already possessed the feat it gain Improved Anima Toughness instead.

At 7th level it gain Improved Anima Toughness. If it already possessed the feat it gain a bonus [Undead] feat she meet the prerequisites of.

Unholy Regeneration (Ex): A 5th level Undead Paragon gain Unholy Regeneration, however the fast healing is limited to half your character or your Charisma modifier, whichever is lower.

Unholy Vigor: A 8th level Undead Paragon receive a special version of the Why Won't You Die feat. However instead of taking effect immediately it take effect 1d4 rounds after destruction, causing the Undead Paragon to rise again immediately at 1 hit point, ignoring the attack which felled it completely. Even if the 50% chance fail the Undead Paragon, unless slain by positive energy, a holy weapon, inside a consecrated zone, while being turned or have it body destroyed it will not be destroyed. Instead it will fall inert for 1 minute, after which it is raised at 1 hit points.

Additionally if you have Undead template or ability which allow you to respawn (such as Ghost or Lich) you respawn at half the normal rate.
