Unsworn Dragon Shaman

An unsworn shaman does not dedicate herself to a single dragon, instead revering dragonkind by itself. Through the use of a dragon relic, an unsworn dragon shaman can alter her totem dragon. However the lack of a pact causes the unsworn dragon shaman to have a dependency on their dragon relic for their powers. This alternate class feature is overall an upgrade on the rather poor Dragon Shaman, allowing them more versatility

Class: Dragon ShamanPHB2

Level: 1st, 2nd, 8th, 16th

Replaces: Alignment Restriction, Totem Dragon, Skill Focus, Breath Weapon

Benefit: An unsworn dragon shaman gain the following class features:

Dragon Relic (Ex): An unsworn dragon shaman starts the game with a dragon relic, which may be a handful of scales, set of teeth, a fossilized egg or ancient manuscript written in draconic. A dragon relic allows the dragon shaman to draw upon the power of dragons, and she needs to meditate at least 10 minute each morning with her relic to access her dragon shaman’s supernatural and spell-like class feature for the day. If she lacks her dragon relic, a meditation without it can be done, but all of the dragon shaman’s supernatural and spell-like class features are treated as if the dragon shaman was two levels lower than normal (minimum 1).

If a dragon relic is lost, it requires 1 week and 100 GP per dragon shaman class level to acquire a new one.

Unsworn Totem Dragon: A unsworn dragon shaman is not attached to a single totem dragon, instead drawing her powers from meditation and drawing upon the power of dragons through her dragon relic. An unsworn dragon shaman may spend 1 hour after a full rest to change her spirit dragon to another, this changes her breath weapon, draconic adaptation and energy immunity class feature to match the newly chosen dragon. The dragon shaman is not restricted by the alignment of her totem dragon.

Unsworn Skill Focus: When an unsworn dragon shaman gain Skill Focus at 2nd, 8th and 16th level she does not choose from the list granted by her totem dragon. Instead an unsworn dragon chooses from one of the following list: Bluff, Knowledge (Arcana), Knowledge (Religion), Listen or Spot.
