Gravity Warrior Rework[edit]

Note: Not sure if I'm gonna bother with reworking the whole class anytime soon. I've mostly just concentrated on the first 3 levels so far and whatever scales. Go check Gravity Warrior (3.5e Class) for the rest of the abilities for comparison. There's a divider line in the class abilities to show what hasn't been tweaked at all. I'm really not sure why most of the original class abilities were Extraordinary, so there's a lot more supernatural stuff happening here now in those 3 levels. A couple class skills were added in, but right now it suffers from very little it is able to do outside of combat and is in dire need of more adjustments.

Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the gravity warrior.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A gravity warrior is proficient with all simple and martial weapons, with light and medium armor, and with all shields save tower shields.

Enduring Body: A gravity warrior's control of gravity allows him to persist through difficult tasks with ease. At 1st level a gravity warrior gains Endurance as a bonus feat. He may always choose to treat his local gravity as "normal".

Fall Resistance (Su): For the purpose of falling damage, you treat any fall as 20 feet less per class level. At 5th level, you are immune to fall damage.

Grav-Power (Su): By manipulating gravitational forces within himself, a gravity warrior can perform feats of amazing physical prowess. +1 per 5 levels. At first level a gravity warrior gains a +1 bonus to all Strength-, Dexterity- and Constitution-based skill checks, ability checks as well as to bull rush checks and grapple checks. Additionally, this bonus is applied for to his effective Strength score when determining his carrying capacity. This bonus increases by 1 at 5th and every 5 levels thereafter (10th, 15th, and 20th)

Gravity Zone (Su): At 2nd level a gravity warrior gains the ability to focus his control over gravity in a small area. As a move action, he can alter gravity in 1 10' cube per 2 gravity warrior levels, transforming the area into difficult terrain and incurring a –2 penalty to ranged attacks passing through the area as the gravity within the space fluctuates wildly in strength and direction, visible as minor rippling. Such areas must be within 100 feet of the gravity warrior. The areas persist for 1 minute. Dismissing the effect is a free action. A gravity warrior is immune to the negative effects of his own gravity zones.

Super-Jump (Su): A gravity warrior is not bound by the limitations of his surroundings. At 2nd level, a gravity warrior adds twice his gravity warrior class level to Jump checks, always counts as having a running start, is no longer limited by a maximum vertical reach and calculates high jumps by the long jump formula (one foot per point on the check).

Gravity Surge (Su): At 3rd level a gravity warrior gains the ability to focus the forces of gravity into a single massive flow as a full round action. When released, it impacts with such force that all creatures within a 5 ft./level radius must make a Fortitude save (DC 10 + half level + Strength modifier) or fall prone, staggered for 1 round (even affecting creatures without Constitution modifiers) and take 1d10 damage (plus an additional 1d10 at 7th, 11th, 15th and 19th levels). On a successful save, the creature takes half damage and does not become staggered or fall prone. Once used, the forces must recharge for 1d6 rounds before it can be used again or recharged by spending a full round action. A gravity warrior can choose to reduce his radius when activating this ability.

Fast Movement (Su): At 4th level, a gravity warrior's training has allowed him to control his local directional gravity, giving him an enhancement bonus to his speed, as shown on Table: The Gravity Warrior.

Gravity Well (Su): At 6th level a gravity warrior learns to manipulate the weight of something from a distance. A gravity warrior gains the ability to focus on one target within a certain distance of himself as a standard action. This target must pass a Fortitude save (DC 10 + half the gravity warrior's Hit Die + the gravity warrior's Strength modifier) or immediately fall to the ground; falling prone for 1 round and becoming exhausted for 10 minutes. This ability can be used on airborne targets and unattended objects as well. If this effect is used on an airborne target, then it falls to the ground and as such takes appropriate falling damage. Falling damage caused by this class feature cannot be negated in any way, shape, or form. If this class feature is used on an unattended object, then that objects weight grows nearly infinite for one round, and cannot be lifted by any force. This effect affects even constructs and creatures without Constitution modifiers. Gravity Well has a range of 25 ft./level and, once used, cannot be used again until 1d4 rounds later.

Steadfast: At 7th level a gravity warrior gains the ability to weigh down his body, making it much more difficult to affect him on the field of battle. For the purpose of resisting bull rush, disarm, grapple, overrun, and trip attempts, the gravity warrior is considered one size category larger than he actually is.

Leaden Weight (Ex): A gravity warrior eventually learns to bend gravity to his will in unusual ways, allowing himself to increase the mass of an object, yet loosen gravity's pull on it, allowing himself to swing it with ease. At 7th level any weapon a gravity warrior wields deals damage as though it were one size category larger. The weapon is not actually larger and therefore is still treated as a weapon of its original size category. This increase in damage only applies if the weapon is in the hands of the gravity warrior.

Impact (Ex): At 9th level a gravity warrior gains the ability to decrease gravity's hindering qualities upon an object, allowing him to put his full strength into a strike. When a gravity warrior is wielding a weapon in two hands he adds 2 times his Strength modifier to his damage rolls, instead of the normal 1.5 times. If he is wielding a weapon in one hand he adds 1.5 times his Strength modifier to his damage rolls. If a Gravity Warrior is dual-wielding a weapon in each hand he adds 1.5 times his Strength modifier to his damage rolls for the weapon in his primary hand, and only half of his Strength modifier to his damage rolls for the weapon in his off hand.

Great Leaden Weight (Ex): A gravity warrior eventually learns to bend gravity to his will with such ease that he can make an object weigh several hundred pounds, yet lift it as though it was weightless. At 14th level any weapon a gravity warrior wields deals damage as though it were two size categories larger. The weapon is not actually larger and therefore is still treated as a weapon of its original size category. This increase in damage only applies if the weapon is in the hands of the gravity warrior.

Improved Impact (Ex): At 18th level a gravity warrior gains the ability to increase both the weight and speed of a weapon he wields to the degree, that it is capable of leaving behind the most terrible wounds. Any weapon the gravity warrior wields has its critical multiplier increased by one step (from ×2 to ×3, from ×3 to ×4, from ×4 to ×5).
