Sandbox 4[edit]

Mystical Rain[edit]

Mystical Rain is a discipline focusing on precision and the search for perfect perception. Masters of the discipline are said to be able to stop the rain around them through focus and shoot incredibly deadly arrows (Rain Shots and Perception Stance). Another key point of the style is the use of the Silver Arrows technique, a living arrow made of pure force seeking their target and even hiting them repeatably before passing out. The Mystical rain technique is all about the focus of one perception and the serenity of water. The key skill for Mystical Rain is spot. The favoured weapons are the shortbow, longbow, composite shortbow, composite longbow, light crossbow, heavy crossbow, and hand crossbow. The key ability is wisdom.

Level 1 Maneuvers[edit]

  • Perception of the Deep Wound: : Boost- Each attack you make deals 1d6 extra damage, this extra damage does not apply to creatures immune to sneak attacks.
  • Uninterrupted Flow: Stance- You provoke no AoO for shooting with a ranged weapon.
  • Vapor Trail: Strike- You make a single ranged attack, no matter the result of the attack, a trail of fog follows the arrow (10 ft, thick).
  • Water Blessing: Stance- You may walk on water (or other liquid surface), can breath underwater and take no penalties for ranged attacks underwater.
  • Wave Shot: Strike- You can make a single ranged attack, if this attack hits, you may make a free bullrush check (does not provoke AoO) equal to your attack roll. Your size category does not affect this bull-rush check.

Level 2 Maneuvers[edit]

  • Deep Water Blessing: Boost- Add 2d6 cold damage to all your ranged attacks.
  • Gentle Mist Shot: Strike- Deal 4d6 extra nonlethal damage. If a creature is reduced to 0 HP or lower by this attack, the creature becomes the center of effect to an obscuring mist spell.
  • Vengeful Flow: Counter- Whenever you are hit by a ranged attack, you can make a free attack against the attacker at your highest attack bonus. If the attack succeeds, it does an extra 1d6 damage.

Level 3 Maneuvers[edit]

  • From One Ocean to Another: Boost- You may attack up to your maximum range without range penalties to the attack roll.
  • Perception Slow: Stance- Under this time, the time flow around you seems to slow down. This increased perception allows you to double your range and grant a +5 bonus to spot.
  • Rain Shot: Strike- You make two ranged attack rolls against a target (both using your highest attack bonus). If only one hits, it is a normal attack. If both attack rolls hit, your target takes an extra 4d6 damage and is stunned until the start of its next round.

Level 4 Maneuvers[edit]

  • Dancing Snowflake Serenity: Counter- You may use your attack instead of a will or reflex save.
  • Greater Wave Shot: Strike- As wave strike, except that you are considered huge for the purpose of the bullrush strike and the target must make a fortitude save or fall prone.
  • Secret Silver Arrow: Strike- You may make one ranged attack. This attack ignores all concealment and cover as well as dealing force damage.
  • Shot of the Thousand Fountains: Strike- You may make a touch attack. If this touch attack is successful you deal normal damage and the target is denied its dexterity score to AC until the end of its next round. This ability doesn't allow sneak attack to work if they normally wouldn't.
  • Penetrating Rain Shot: As Rain Shot but attacks roll are ranged touch attacks instead.

Level 5 Maneuvers[edit]

  • A Prayer Under the Rain: Counter- You can reroll any attack roll and take the better result.
  • Autumn Rain: Strike- You make a single attack. If successful, it deals a number of negative levels.
  • Icicles Creation Meditation: Stance- You make arrows made of pure ice dealing cold damages based on your initiator levels.
  • Winter Rose Shot: Strike- You deal an extra 6d6 cold damage to the target and slow it.

Level 6 Maneuvers[edit]

  • Mirrored Perception: Stance- You gain the ability to see all around you, the Uncanny Dodge feat, and ranged attacks you make are made with a +4 bonus on attack roll and deal and extra 2d6 point of damage. You may use spot instead of listen and gain a +5 bonus to Spot.
  • Hidden Silver Arrow: As Secret Silver Arrow but the arrow makes a full-attack on its own.
  • Masterful Rain Shot: Strike- You make 3 ranged attack rolls; if one hits, the attack is resolved normally; if two hit, your target take an extra 4d6 damage and is stunned until the start of its next turn; if all attack rolls hit, the target takes an extra 10d6 damage and is stunned until the start of its next turn.

Level 7 Maneuvers[edit]

  • Monstrous Rain Shot: As masterful rain shot but attacks roll are ranged touch attack instead.
  • Secret Silver Arrow Technique: Boost- All attacks you make during your round count as Force effects and ignore all cover and concealment.
  • Tsunami Shot: Strike- As Wave Shot, but you are considered colossal for the bullrush check and may make a bullrush attempt against any creature within 20 ft. of the target. Creatures affected must make a fortitude save or fall prone and take 6d6 damages.

Level 8 Maneuvers[edit]

  • Perception Stop: Stance- You ignore all range penalties, your maximum range double, and you may deal precision damage at 120ft instead of 30 ft. You gain a +10 bonus to spot and reloading become a free action if it previously required a full-round action.
  • Midnight Rain: Counter- You automatically succeed on one saving throw, attack roll, critical hit confirmation roll as if it was a natural 20. This ability cannot trigger Vorpal weapons or similar effects.

Level 9 Maneuvers[edit]

  • Final Rain Shot: Strike- Make 3 attacks for each iterative attack you make; each additional arrow after the first that hits, adds an additional 2d6 damage. Target is stunned until the beginning of it next turn.
