Variant Druid Shapeshift[edit]

This rule make some adjustment to the Druid's ShapeshiftPHB2 alternate class feature. Instead of natural weapon, the druid receive Feral Strikes, all of which can be enhanced as normal for feral strike in addition to the bonus granted by the Shapeshift ability. Similar feral strikes such as claws and talon share the same enhancement, so does the bite of two different forms.

A Biomancer may take the Shapeshift alternate class feature by trading its Test Subject class features. It take the form of weird, aberrant animals instead of normal animals and gain the bonuses it Test Subject would receive while Shapeshifted. However a Biomancer never gain the Forest Avenger or the Elemental Fury forms.

A Geopsyche may take the Shapeshift alternate class feature by trading both its Crystal Companion and Channel Anima class features. It does not gain Psicrystal Affinity at 1st level, instead it gain it at 3rd level. It take the form weird crystaline animals instead of regular animals.

Other Alterations[edit]

Some classes and feat grant access to additional wild shape, which is not supported in PHB2. This section is under construction and cover the rule for a smooth and easy conversion.

Corpselight Whisperer[edit]

The Corpselight Whisperer grant access to some additional form as well as Wild Shape advancement. A druid with the ShapeshiftPHB2 class features count her Corpselight Whisperer level as her druid level for the purpose of advancing her form available and the bonus they grant, with the exception of Elemental Avenger.

At 2nd and 10th level she gain access to a new form: Will-o-wisp and Incorporeal Specter

As a Will-O'-Wisp the druid gain a fly speed of 50 feet (perfect) and become one size category smaller, her strength is halved but she gain the Weapon Finesse feat while in this form. As a Will-O'-Wisp she is constantly invisible as per persistent invisibility, which she may activate or suppress as a free action at the start of her turn. The Druid also gain an electrical touch feral strike:

Electrical Touch

Light Melee

Cost: — gp
Damage (Small): 2d8
Damage (Medium)1: 2d8
Critical: 20/x3
Weight2: — lbs
Type3: Electricity
HP4: 10
Hardness: 5

1. See Damage Increases by Size to calculate the damage for a weapon larger than Medium or smaller than Small.
2. Weight figures are for Medium weapons. A Small weapon weighs half as much, and a Large weapon weighs twice as much.
3. When two types are given, the weapon is both types if the entry specifies "and", either type (player's choice at time of attack) if the entry specifies "or", or each end of the double weapon is a different type if the entry specifies "/".
4. The hp value given is for Medium armor, weapons, and shields. Divide by 2 for each size category of the item smaller than Medium, or multiply it by 2 for each size category larger than Medium.

This feral strike do not add Strength to damage and always deal 2d8 damage no matter the size, it does however only require a touch attack to hit.

At 4th level the Druid gain Spell Resistance equal to 20 + her class level while in Will-O'-Wisp form.

As a Incorporeal Specter the druid gain the Incorporeal Subtype, a fly speed of 60 feet (good) and gain immunities and vulnerability of an Undead creature. If she is turned or rebuke she immediately go back to her original form instead. The Druid also gain an incorporeal touch feral strike:

Incorporeal Touch

Light Melee

Cost: — gp
Damage (Small): 2d6
Damage (Medium)1: 2d6
Critical: 20/x3
Weight2: — lbs
Type3: Untyped
HP4: 10
Hardness: 5

This feral strike do not add Strength to damage and always deal 2d6 damage no matter the size, it does however only require an incorporeal touch attack to hit. Upon a successful hit the creature must make a Fortitude save (DC 10 + 1/2 Class Level + Charisma modifier) or take 1d8 Constitution Drain. The druid gain 5 temporary hit point whenever she successfully land her incorporeal touch.
