Vocorder[edit]

This graft comes in two forms, a construct version and an organic version.

The construct version allows constructs the ability to speak (if they lacked it before). Mindless constructs can be pre-programmed with short phrases keyed to specific circumstances such as "Lethal Force Authorized In This Area" or "Task Completed, Awaiting Instruction." The graft can be made to match any type of voice whether artificial or natural-sounding.

The organic version replaces the original creature's vocal cords. While still requiring air to function, the vocorder allows for a much greater range of pitch, allowing the user to achieve sounds ranging from nearly subsonic to glass-shatteringly high. Creatures with at least 4 ranks in Disguise, or Perform (Singing or Oratory) gain a +2 bonus to such checks when used appropriately. However, the organic graft requires two weeks after implantation for the user to fully acclimate themselves to it, and imposes a -4 penalty on all voice-related checks during that time.

Graft Flesh (any) or Graft (clockwork), ghost sound; Price 1,000 gp.
