Zombie Apocalypse

Upon casting, this spell's effect emanates from the place you are standing, and constantly remains at that same point of origin even if you should move. The target area becomes heavily infested with necromantic energy, animating those within as undead when they fall. In addition to covering the entire area in a desecrate effect (as though it were an area with a shrine to an evil god), all living creatures within the area of effect incur one negative level. Those slain by this negative level immediately rise as zombies (under the control of the caster until the spell ends) if possible; those who survive maintain the negative level as long as they remain within the spell's area. As long as the first negative level still affects them, a creature cannot gain another negative level from this spell being cast again. In addition, anyone slain by more conventional means while in this spell's area also become zombies (again, if they could normally become a zombie).

Lastly, any spell from the healing subschool cast within this area must succeed at a caster level check (DC 10 + your caster level) or instead damage the target a number of hit points equal to what it normally would have cured.

This spell's desecrate, healing disruption, and animation effects last for 1 hour per caster level, but any undead animated remain permanently until destroyed.
