This strange looking gun has a small vial insertion unit for ammunition, and a series of thin fine needles which are shot out with electrical coils, bearing the contents of the vial.  In terms of ammunition, the ammo is so thin, plentiful, and cheap that it effectively is unlimited in ammunition.  The real "ammunition" is the vials, in which alchemical liquids and poisons can be inserted, and the needles carrying its contents to the destination.

The needles only deal 1 point of base damage as a ranged touch attack, no matter how large it is.  The needles reload automatically with no action on the users part.  Loading a vial is a move action, or a free action with [[SRD:Rapid Reload|Rapid Reload]].  The vial is ejected as part of firing the needle.  If using poisons, you have no chance of poisoning yourself.

This can be used as a martial weapon, but only if held within two hands, as a normal ranged attack, and reloading increases to a full round action.  You also have the normal chance of poisoning yourself if handling a poison.
