|fdesc2=A {{srd5lc|Creature}} infected by a chioptera drone that is reduced to 0 {{srd5lc|Hit Point}}s becomes a chioptera drone under the command of chioptera queen and knights that controls the chioptera that infected it. An infected creature may be cured of the Chioptera Disease before it is reduced to 0 hit points, but once it becomes a chioptera drone, only a {{5espell|Wish}} can restore the creature. A new chioptera does not realize it has become a chiptoera drone until it is given a command by its queen or one of her knights.

It does not regenerate if it has been beheaded or been damaged by a chioptera knight or queen. It regenerates even if it has been reduced to 0 hit points. If it has lost a limb (other than its head) it may reform the limb as part of this regeneration.

A chioptera drone is an anthropomorphic {{srd5lc|Creature}} that has been infected by another chioptera and subsequently reduced to 0 {{srd5lc|Hit Point}}s. 

Until it transforms, it appears as it did before it became infected. It will use an NPC stat block (see {{iplink|Shapechange}}). Furthermore, it is not aware of the change. It will act as it did before until it receives instructions from its queen or knight chioptera. Even afterward, drones usually maintain their original form and act as spies and covert agents of their queen chioptera.

After it transforms, it becomes a dark gray skinned monstrosity (and uses the stat block above). This transformation is permanent, so the drone will not transform until it is commanded to do so by its queen or knight or it is forced to do so by extreme circumstances.
