Ability Bonus Page
::::As for ability scores, we can do it like we do skills right now and just have a string property that we assign multiple values to. They will all show in the table, and you can sort by them, and when we get the full semantic Special:BrowseData up they will even be text searchable (though you could do custom tables for it already anyway, it's just more of a pain). The +2 / -2 any stat ones will just be an entry that links to the generic SRD stat page instead of a specific stat section and isn't any harder to set as the property value than anything else. In the preloads, it'll probably look like the skills do for the classes (with the exception that you need to set numbers) in that you just delete the ones you aren't using for the race. Should be pretty easy actually, just time consuming. - TarkisFlux 18:07, October 8, 2009 (UTC)
:::::Well Tarkis, LA is really only half the story with race power. Sure, a vast majority of races are just LA races with no HD. While, as the example, [[Deathly Asutas http://dungeons.wikia.com/index.php?title=Asuta_(3.5e Race5e_Race)|deathly asutas]&oldid=30189 asuta] use a racial progression to achieve its full racial power, it doesn't have LA, so listing it as LA +6 is grossly inaccurate. Listing it as LA 0 is closer to fair, as it can be used as an LA 0 race with the variant, but then, I think for the time being, I'm the only one venturing into racial progression territory for races (since there are problems inherent with its design philosophy). Anyways, before I get too distracted, I suppose I should mention that there are races that have both LA and racial HD (and don't use racial HD progressions). Uberich have 4 racial HD and LA 1, being ECL 5. Not listing both ECL and LA is just going to be troublesome for people doing searches. Yeah, in the past, I've gotten a lot of funny remarks from people about the [[Deathly Asutas http://dungeons.wikia.com/index.php?title=Asuta_(3.5e Race5e_Race)|deathly asutas]&oldid=30189 asuta], mostly along the lines of "there is no way this has no LA" and "are you out of your mind?" before I point out the ECL when people do searches by LA. Now I've lost my train of thought. Did any of that make sense? --Ganteka Future 18:27, October 9, 2009 (UTC)
::::::It makes sense I guess... it just hurts my brain. I had forgotten about (or actively ignored) the stupid rule where racial hit dice count the same as class levels for determining minimum xp levels. So yeah, you need account for ECL and LA when making a character for a game. We should probably keep the ECL in the table and go through the races to make sure that the ECLs for everything are accurate. But not now, I need to go have a cry about this rule first. - TarkisFlux 23:29, October 9, 2009 (UTC)
:::::::::::::::Ooooo. We need that in the preload. -- Eiji Hyrule 23:13, March 16, 2010 (UTC)

::::::::::::::::I believe I put it in there a few days ago. I would like to add a bunch of stuff to the instructions (ease of use copy/pastable stuff), but I haven't gotten to it yet.--Ganteka Future 23:23, March 16, 2010 (UTC)
CSSification
::::::I solved this problem last night. Surgo 15:39, October 10, 2009 (UTC)

Pretty Dumb
We shouldn't add variant rules that do not conform to the majority of the rules here. I don't know why my races variant was added--what about everything else that's a variant? Shouldn't EVERYTHING be added? (Of course not. If it's not a variation of the way the core rules work, it shouldn't be here.) Please remove things that are related to my variants from this work--especially since you didn't ask me about it first (which I'm much more irritated about)! --Ghostwheel 21:41, 17 February 2011 (UTC)

:Ghost's irritation aside (which I don't actually understand) variant rules shouldn't be placed in regular nav pages without community discussion and approval. I don't really think it's appropriate here, but I might be missing something. I'm going to remove the link for now, and flag the alt page for deletion. - Tarkisflux 21:52, 17 February 2011 (UTC)

Type, Subtype, Size
Could type, subtype, and size be incorporated into this table? --Franken Kesey 01:03, 4 April 2011 (UTC)

:They certainly could, assuming the races are formatted properly to have those properties, but it would need a new formatting template to display appropriately and the table would be significantly more cramped. If anyone else wants to second this I'll get on it already, otherwise I'm going to sit on it for a bit and think about it. - Tarkisflux 05:32, 4 April 2011 (UTC)

::So, a while back, I did this (sorta) for use in a subpage of mine and kinda neglected to share it. So, because messing with the current page was hideous, subpage made, which is less than optimal but whatever. --Ganteka Future (talk) 02:34, 4 December 2015 (UTC)

:::Just adding size to the table would be super useful.--Franken Kesey 11:15, 8 March 2019 (MST)

Ability Bonus Page
Created a page that groups races by ability bonus called Races by Ability Bonus (3.5e Guide). This is very helpful for players just looking to boost class scores.--Franken Kesey 10:38, 16 May 2019 (MDT)

:@Surgo, Since there is already a 3.5e Races/Type and Subtype page, can I add a 3.5e Races/Ability page?--Franken Kesey 13:36, 23 May 2019 (MDT)
