Martial Warrior

Most martial adepts have access to only a limited subset of their maneuvers known at a time. Martial Warriors suffer from no such weakness.

Making a Martial Warrior

Martial Warriors are big fightish people generally, unless they've picked sneaky or ranged disciplines.

Abilities: The relevant ability scores depend on which disciplines you pick.

Races: Beings with muscles or magical constructions that pass for the same are the vast majority of all Martial Warriors.

Alignment: Any.

Starting Gold: 6d4×10 gp (150 gp).

Starting Age: Moderate.

Table: The Martial Warrior

Hit Die: d10

Class Features

All of the following are class features of the Martial Warrior.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Martial Warriors are proficient with light, medium, and heavy armor, as well as shields (except tower shields). Martial Warriors have proficiency in all weapons that are Discipline Weapons for any of their Disciplines.

Disciplines: At first level, choose three martial Disciplines. You gain those Disciplines' Discipline Skills as class skills, and gain proficiency with those Disciplines' Discipline Weapons. All Maneuvers and Stances you learn by gaining levels in Martial Warrior must be drawn from those Disciplines unless you use some other method to add Disciplines to your list of choices (such as through Martial Study).

Maneuvers: All Maneuvers you know are extraordinary abilities unless otherwise specified. You can initiate any maneuver you know at any time, although each time you initiate a maneuver, it is expended until a number of rounds equal to its Maneuver Refresh Time has passed. For example, at level 1, if you know Dancing Ribbon Strike and you initiate it, there will be 1 round during which Dancing Ribbon Strike is expended before you can initiate it again.

Maneuvers Known: At the levels indicated, you learn maneuvers which cannot be of a higher level than the level stated there.

Stances Known: At the levels indicated, you learn stances which cannot be of a higher level than the level stated there. Unlike maneuvers, stances are not expended, and you do not have to ready them. All the stances you know are available at all times, and you can change the stance you are currently using as a swift action. A stance is an extraordinary ability unless otherwise stated in the stance description.
