You can use the following class features in place of the Warlock's Prime Shot and proficiency with simple ranged weapons. If you use this variant, you gain the following class features in place of those class features.

Improved Pact Blade Proficiency (Warlock Variant)Edit

You have extensively trained in the use of pact blades and can channel your spells through another weapon that you have trained more extensively with.

Pact Blade ProficiencyEdit

Choose a single simple or military melee weapon. You gain proficiency with that weapon, and you can use that weapon as a warlock implement, as if it was a pact blade (though you cannot use any other property of a pact blade with the weapon).

Pact Blade ChannellingEdit

When you make a ranged implement attack with a pact blade or the weapon you selected with your pact blade proficiency, you can choose to use the power as a melee attack. If you do so, you add the weapon's proficiency bonus to the attack roll, and you can use the reach and high crit properties if the weapon has them, but the range of the power is reduced to melee 1.
