Extraordinary Mind Reading[edit]

I feel like there either needs to be some sharp limits on what you can learn from totally not magical detect thoughts, or the class needs to be refluffed in such a way as to explain how a detective can literally read minds, probably with some changes to ability types. Will Save-based Deductions[edit]

It's really really weird to give out abilities that offer a Will save (detect thoughts, speak with dead) and say they happen purely from the nonmagical act of deduction. What are they saving against? If they succeed on their save then they realize that someone was trying to read their mind, by looking at them really closely? Detecting thoughts is normally a hostile thing to do, the ambiguity here miiiight have caused a campaign to descend into PvP and a party member to get killed today.

Would be much better to replace those abilities with custom ones that don't offer saves and do something a bit different, I think. --Foxwarrior (talk) 04:14, 20 October 2024 (UTC)
