→Mobile Skin (Minerva): new section
The New Guys start today on adding the modules. They are new, so the initial pages may not be perfect, but they will come up to speed quickly. We have two people making the pages, and their accounts will be named BoLS-Librarian1, and BoLS-Librarian2. We will use these "company accounts" in the future anytime we do significant additions. We have been monitoring industry trends and are seeing across the board loss of traffic and lower rankings by websites that are desktop only in theme.
Google switched over to "Mobile first" rankings earlier this year and the effects are starting to be felt.
Our wiki has not been adversely affected, but we want to take no chances.
We plan on adding the default mediawiki mobile skin (Minerva) to the site in the weeks ahead. This will present a cleaner experience for users on phones. There will be no effect for desktop users. [[User:Bigred|Bigred]] ([[User talk:Bigred|talk]]) 11:31, 13 June 2019 (MDT)
