A Broad Schlachtmesser, as the name suggests, is a huge weapon with a particularly wide and thick blade: it is actually in between a  Schlachtmesser and a Fullblade in therms of weight, proportions and handling characteristics. 


The Broad Schlachtmesser counts as a  Schlachtmesser or as a Fullblade (but not as these two last weapons together) for the purpose of any of the following feats: Greater Weapon Focus, Greater Weapon Specialization, Improved Critical, Weapon Focus, and Weapon Specialization: if a character has any of these feats both on  Schlachtmesser and on the Fullblade, the bonuses of the feats from the two last weapons are not cumulative within the Broad  Schlachtmesser.
