As the name states, this is a [[SRD:Hand Crossbow | Hand Crossbow]] that has been modified with a bolt case and a lever to aid in reloading. Like any other repeating crossbow, you can reload it by pulling the lever (A free action) and reload a case of 5 bolts as a full-round action that provokes attacks of opportunity. You can fire with one hand without incurring a penalty, but it requires two hands to make use of the reloading lever or to load a new case of bolts.
