The wurfkreuz, or throwing cross, is a simple cross with sharpened points ends forged from a single piece of metal. It is designed to be thrown, and since a wurfkreuz is not designed for melee, you are treated as nonproficient with it and take a –4 penalty on attack rolls if you use it as a melee weapon.
