Creating Organisms

If a player wishes to be an insect that is unlisted, or engage with an organism that is unlisted, they may speak to their GM. (A GM may also use these guidelines to create other organisms.) Here are some general mechanical guidelines to this.

Fauna
Tier1 Health Class2 AC Saves3 Skill Bonus4 Base Speed Damage
Low Medium High Very High Low High Max Min Allocate Land Fly Swim Burrow Weak Moderate Strong
1st 2d4+1 2d6+2 3d6+3 3d8+4 1 2 +2/-2 +7 +2 8 5 10 3 0 1 1d2 1d4
2nd x2 x2 x2 x3 3 5 +4/+2/-2 +10 +4 16 10 15 5 3 1d4+1 1d6+1 1d8+1
3rd x3 x4 x4 x6 5 8 +6/+4 +20 +6 24 20 25 10 5 2d8+2 3d6+2 3d8+2
  1. The fourth tier is highly variable and has no set of guidelines for finding scores.
  2. Tiers 2 and 3 modify the tier 1 score.
  3. Modifications to saves, the bonus need not be taken.
  4. Skills cannot exceed the maximum (only save bonuses will allow it to exceed). General skills begin with the indicated minimum, specialized begin with half minimum. Each species gets minx4 to allocate elsewhere. By penalizing a general skill by 2 points, one gains an additional point to allocate.

Flora

See the Flora page for meanings of qualities.

Flora
Complexity Buff1 Physical Damage2 Poisons3
Health Skill Save AC Weak Moderate Strong Weak Strong
Simple 1d4 +1 0 +1 1d4 1d6 1d8 1d2 Save or direct 1d4 Save or direct
Advanced 2d3 +2 +1 +2 2d4 2d6 2d8 1d6 Save or direct 2d4 Save or direct
  1. Simple can only buff one, complex two.
  2. Only applies to categories B and C.
  3. Only applies to categories B and C. Can damage a save or direct health.

Category C has a few other qualities in below table.

Flora Category C Other
Complexity Health AC Saves Skills1
Low High Low High Allocate Base bonuses2
Simple 6d10+12 8d10+13 4 6 +6 Fort, +4 reflex 5 Grapple 7, Hide 7, Sense 7, Survival 15
Advanced 10d10+14 12d10+14 6 8 +4 Fort, +6 reflex 7 Deception 5, Grapple 10, Hide10, Sense 10, Survival 20, Knowledge 5
  1. Flora can only rank in the mentioned skills.
  2. You need to have at least one allocated point to use skill.
