Astonishing Killer (Feat)
Prerequisite: 4th level; Proficiency in the Performance skill
When you kill a creature that is a Worthy Foe for you, you can use your reaction to activate this feat. Using this feat comes in many forms, such as striking a breathtaking pose, saying something poetically ironic, or calling out for your enemies to surrender.
When you do so, each creature of your choice within 30ft of you that can see or hear you must make a Wisdom saving throw. The DC for this saving throw is based on the method you used to kill the Worthy Foe:
- If you slew the Worthy Foe with a spell, the save DC is equal to your spellcasting save DC for the spell used.
- If you slew the Worth Foe with a weapon, the save DC is equal to 8 + your Proficiency Bonus, plus the ability modifier used for that attack (such as Strength or Dexterity).
- If you slew the Worthy Foe with neither a spell nor a weapon, the save DC is equal to 8 + your Proficiency Bonus, plus your Charisma Modifier.
Each creature that fails its saving throw is Charmed by you for 1 minute. Each affected creature can make another Wisdom saving throw at the start of each of its turns to end the effect on itself. An affected creature that you or one of your allies attacks, deals damage to, or otherwise harms automatically succeeds its next saving throw to escape the effect.
Once you use this feat, you must finish a Short or Long Rest before you may do so again.
