Ghost NeckEdit
The guillotine blade fell with a thunk through Grundar's neck. But Grundar's head stayed where it was. Carefully he moved his neck up through the block of wood and escaped while everyone stood in shock.
This strange graft turns just the neck of a creature incorporeal for a short time.
Alchemically distilled from the bodies of creatures capable of partial or complete incorporeality, this graft is a small gland attached directly to the spine of the creature somewhere in the neck area.
A creature with this graft can activate the effect as an immediate reaction at-will. The gland holds enough for 8 rounds of incorporeality, and requires 1 hour of uninterrupted recharge for every round of use. This renders the grafted creature immune to non-magical attacks that would target the neck (such as hanging, garroting, beheading, and being choked), and magical weapons without the Ghost Touch property have only a 50% chance of striking the neck successfully. Spells, Spell-like and Supernatural effects which target the neck specifically still function normally, but the magic of the glands provides a +2 bonus to any save against such effects.
Blood and air flow normally through an incorporeal throat. However, an incorporeal throat cannot be used for speaking or vocal noises of any kind. The head, which remains corporeal, retains its normal range of motion for a creature of its kind.
Graft Flesh (any), blink; Price 4,500 gp.
