4. The hp value given is for Medium armor, weapons, and shields. Divide by 2 for each size category of the item smaller than Medium, or multiply it by 2 for each size category larger than Medium.
The cane knife has a a large hand-wielded cutting tool similar to a machete, and its use is prevalent in the harvesting of sugarcane. However, it can be usad as a dreadful weapon, thanks to its thin broad blade, which elongates with a concave bend towards the point; this shape, in fact, distributes the weight in such a way that the weapon is capable of delivering a blow using the blade extension of a normal knife together with the momentum of a small axe. It means that cane knives are used in powerful swings, with the added weight on the curved end being intended for quick and strong blows.
A cane knife can be used to effectively cut through brush and undergrowth, harvesting plant stalks. A character gets 2+ on damage rolls and checks to clear away brush, undergrowth or profession checks that involve harvesting plant stalks, canes, cracking coconuts, cutting food.
