| The biggest problem I have with this is that the effects are pretty random, and unless your DM is constantly focusing on your character, it doesn't really do much. That is unless you control it yourself, and then it's a persistent prestidigitation effect which does whatever you want, basically. Either way, not the greatest idea IMO. |
Why I added Widened to the metamagic effects
This increases the diameter of the spell from 10 feet to 20 feet. This way it's easier for ominous effects to be centered on the trait holder and potentially give away their position if the DM decides to be especially rude today.
Also, it technically means it can clean, soil, etc 2 cubic feet at a time instead of 1 cubic foot at a time. --MadmanFromSpace (talk) 19:50, 5 August 2019 (MDT)
What's the benefit?[edit]
I know what it says is the benefit, but that's kind of just "the thing that happens." Given that there are mechanical drawbacks (ie, you can be tracked with detect magic), there should be some kind of mechanical benefit. I don't think it necessarily needs to be completely under the player's control, but maybe it gives them a small bonus on various social checks? Like, your Forced Omens makes a loud crack of thunder as you're trying to intimidate someone, so you get a +2 circumstance bonus. Stuff like that. And maybe "you get normal prestidigitation as an at-will spell-like ability."
