2. Weight figures are for Medium weapons. A Small weapon weighs half as much, and a Large weapon weighs twice as much.
3. When two types are given, the weapon is both types if the entry specifies "and", either type (player's choice at time of attack) if the entry specifies "or", or each end of the double weapon is a different type if the entry specifies "/".
4. The hp value given is for Medium armor, weapons, and shields. Divide by 2 for each size category of the item smaller than Medium, or multiply it by 2 for each size category larger than Medium.
A King Sword is a very rare, fine and well-balanced hybrid between a Warsword (see the voice "Odachi" in this homebrew) and a Reitschwert (finesse bastard sword) and it's typically used by kings in duels. with its elaborated handguard and elegant blade, designed for effective slashing blows but also for precise thrusts, the king sword is very expensive and it is almost always always a masterwork weapon. A character proficient with the King Sword can use two-handed in conjunction with the Weapon Finesse feat, applying her Dexterity bonus (if any) to melee attacks made with the weapon, or can use it one-handed without penalties but without applying the Weapon Finesse Feat (If the King Sword is not a masterwork weapon, in the one-handed use there is also a -2 penalty on attack rolls, as in the base form of the "Warsword/Odachi" weapon niche).
A character without Exotic Weapon proficiency can use a King Sword as a warsword (see the voice "Odachi" in this homebrew) for slashing attacks or as a Reitschwert (finesse bastard sword) for thrusting attacks. Characters proficient with the Emperor Sword may treat it as a warsword (see the voice "Odachi" in this homebrew) or a as Reitschwert for the purpose of any of the following feats: Greater Weapon Focus, Greater Weapon Specialization, Improved Critical, Weapon Focus, and Weapon Specialization.
