Gilthanas, Kanan elven prince of Qualinesti Royal Family. Journeys with the Heroes of the Lance during the War of the Lance, he is the older brother to Laurana and younger brother to Porthios. Often called Gil by his friends. He was never happy of the idea of Tanis half-elven being in love with his sister Laurana. Gilthanas was brought up to become a diplomat and spokesman for his people, and also become a skilled fighter and moderately skilled magic-user as well.
