Your body's Gate is open, a terrible vortex which devours life spent. When things perish around you, you benefit like some spiritual vampire. If a creature within 30 ft of you perishes, you restore hp equal to the HD of the creature. In addition, you may discharge the sacrifice to duplicate Soul Bind. The soul is stored within your own body, which can only store one such soul at a time. While storing a soul, you cannot use Soul Eater again until your body is purged, usually by focusing the soul into thinaun ore, or casting an actual Soul Bind spell and binding the soul to that. If the Soul Bind attempt fails, Soul Eater still is discharged and ends.
Maximum Health Penalty: -9.
