Aeie's deities range from the primary creator, to mortals within a celestial bloodline. This section details a number of the known Gods and lesser Gods known to Aeie.

Creation[edit]

Amae[edit]

The Mother, The Creator

The Gods[edit]

The Greater Gods, The Vaeren[edit]

Onsolore[edit]

God of Time, King of Gods
Lawful Good
Light, Knowledge
Portfolio: Time, Light, Law, The Sun, Rebirth
Temples: Temples to Onsolore are always built in the open, with no buildings or trees obscuring it. They are often left somewhat open, using alot of glass or forgoing walls all together, with sundials always featuring.

First born of the Vaeren, Onsolore wove the blanket of time on which all things are built. It was he who began the attack on Antherice and led the charge of Vaeran and celestials against Antherice and his followers during the War of Eternals. He alone is responsible for Antherices final banishment from Aeie, legend stating that he stopped time around Antherice locking him in a single moment and forcing him and the evils at his side to retreat into the depth of the new immaterial plane. In current days he is believed to watch over the whole of Aeie, protecting the world from Antherice and others who wish to bring harm to the plane or its people. He is a reclusive god whose presence is rarely felt, vowing to only return to Aeie should there be no other choice. In human form he is depicted an aged man, in white robes with long white hair and beard and soft white eyes.

Monderi[edit]

God of Earth
Lawful Good
Nature
Portfolio: Stone, Earth, Volcanoes
Temples: Temples to Monderi are largely built directly into hill or mountain side, with some larger ones built deep below the earth and accessed through larger networks of tunnels. Stone carvings decorate them and decorated in dim firelight.

The first of his trio of Vaeren, Monderi constructed the land of Aeie atop the base Onsolore had woven. He works in harmony with his two closest sisters, not without quarrel as friendly rivalry causes (particularly with Yonderon) much natural chaos across Aeie, and protects the lands and those who live in it. He of course has strong connection to the earth elemental plane and during the War of Eternals, as well as commanding the earth itself, he created such elemental beings to aide in the fight to protect Aeie from harm. He is known to favour the Gnomes and Dwarves, who are often hardy and live well in the hilled and rocky terrains that Monderi watches over, and as such is often depicted as such when taking a humanoid form. He is somewhat temperamental, depicted with a hearty warm laugh but also a wrath to shake the land itself.

Yonderon[edit]

Goddess of the Sea
Lawful Good
Tempest, Nature
Portfolio: Ocean, Tide, Waves, Sea Creatures, Rain
Temples: Temples to Yonderon are always built at least partially in the ocean, either under the surface or suspended on the top. They are usually built with or at least decorated with Oceanic material such as coral or shell, with long pillars emulating turrid shells- thought to be a favourite of the Goddess.

Another of the elemental Vaeren, Yonderon is guardian of the Sea had has a special place in her heart for beings that dwell within it, working with Tistera to create many of them. She laid her waters over much of the land Monderi originally laid out, but also nourished the dry landscape of Aeie in the same motion. She is the most chaotic of the Vaeren, both her and her beloved waters being wholly untamable, being equally likely to destroy ships without care as she is to grant sailors calm passage to safety. Her chaotic nature proved useful in the fight against Antherice and his following, engulfing many of his monstrosities in her waters and holding them down with the weight and pressure of the seas. She is rarely depicted in any common humanoid form, preferring to take the form of large sea creatures or some form of merfolk, but is considered to occasionally take the form of a tan skinned, athletically built female with dark hair and black eyes.

Kelistia[edit]

Goddess of Sky
Lawful Good
Knowledge, Nature
Portfolio: Skies, Wind, Storms, Rain
Temples: Temples to Kelistia are often suspended in air, either on platforms, a top mountains or held mid air through either structural or magical means. They are largely decorated soft blue, grey and white as a form of camouflage.

The last of the elemental trio of Vaeren, Kelistia is aloof and largely indifferent to what goes on in Aeie, valuing freedom above all else. While she was arguably the most inactive of her fellow elemental siblings, she used her gift to command the skies and the weather to never relent on Antherice’s armies and forcing them into battles they were at a disadvantage for and commanded her elementals to be as unrelenting in their attacks. Another to rarely take humanoid form, preferring to exist in whispers upon the wind when visiting Aeie in current days, when she does she appears ghostly white, almost translucent, youthful but with silver hair loosely lying atop her head.

Tistera[edit]

Goddess of Life and Death
Lawful Good
Life, Grave
Portfolio: Life, Re-birth, Beasts
Temples: Temples to Tistera are a place of song and hope, with large areas for many people to enter together in celebration and worship. At the front of the temple are alters for offerings for joyful life and successful passage through it and beyond.

In the beginning, together with her twin sister, and often with at the request or aide of other Vaeren, Tistera is responsible for all life on Aeie. After Amae saw beings withering over time with no release for them, the twins were then commanded to also guide the beings through life and into Amae’s realm when their time came. As the years have progressed Tistera has begun to take over the realm of life while her sister sees to the dead. Tistera is largely known as a joyous god, and depicted as a spritely woman During the War of Elementals, both the twins worked to lead their beings into the fight while also attempting to heal as much as possible and guide them into afterlife when these attempts failed. Both also created more beings better equipped for war, Tistera specifically creating her own race of beings from the high tree of woodlands and forests across Aeie. After the wars were over, the twins decided to somewhat divide responsibility, Tistera taking over life primarily. Tistera is thought to often take form on Aeie, enjoying living among her creations and as such is considered to have the most children, paying little care to the sort of form she’s taking, gender age, humanoid, plant or animals mattering little to her. Largely a happy god, being very difficult to anger however easy to bring sorrow.

Siltherol[edit]

Goddess of Life and Death
Lawful Good
Death, Grave
Portfolio: Life, Death, Re-Birth, After-life
Temples: Temples to Silterol are quite place, not altogether sombre, but are certainly intended for solitary contemplation and remembrance. At the front are alters for offerings in hopes of being granted peace and successful passage into the afterlife.

Siltherol is the more sombre of the twins, much less joyful than her sister and less active in Aeie. While responsible for the creation of many of Aeies living beings, she now primarily focses on guiding these beings through life and death into Amaes realm. During the Wars of Eternals, Siltherol’s lover and son were both killed, sending her into a deep sorrow from which she never returned, determined to help others through death. Many mourners look to Siltherol for guidance and aide. Siltherol takes only one form on Aeie, the form she took when she lived with her son and lover, a young human woman, deathly pale and dressed in a velvet black cloak.

Antherice[edit]

God of Power, The Eternal Exile
Lawful Evil
Arcana, Death, Knowledge
Portfolio: Death, Evil, Magic, Madness, Rebirth
Temples: Temples to Antherice are built in almost pitch darkness, with one light at its center, around which all rituals are performed and often beneath which sacrificed severed hands rest in a pile.

Antherice is a corrupting god, obsessed with power and being the mightiest God of all. While the only forms he created were lowly abominations or mutations of other beings, he was also able to use his abilities to corrupt existing beings and bend them to his will. Antherice took a goliath form on Aeie, stating feet above regular humanoids with orange snake like eyes.

Wenderille[edit]

Goddess of Power, Goddess of Justice
Lawful Good
Arcana, Knowledge, Light
Portfolio: Magic, Law, Rebirth, Justice, Mercy
Temples: Temples to Wenderille are perhaps some of the largest in Aeie but humble in nature, featuring no gold or jewels as decoration, only intricately blown clear glass and wood.

With a power equal to Antherice and a benevolence equal to Amae, in Antherices absence Wenderille is the only Vaeren with direct connection to the arcane and is thus favoured generally among natural born mages. Her purpose from birth was to defend Aeie and its people from attack and injustice, gifting pure arcane abilities to the people so that they may defend themselves and drive out the corrupted and dark magic created by Antherice. While her appearance when humanoid widely varies, she consistently takes on the form of a young person, sometimes even a child, small and slight in stature, with a quiet and sweet expression.
