Cosmic Gate[edit]
The cosmic gate ritual is a dangerous ritual that, when successful, opens up a thousand multicolored bubbles in the sky which are portals to other places anywhere in the universe, the planes, and some say even other times or universes completely. This acts as the travel function of gate, but those passing through are subject to sights and sounds which are difficult to comprehend. They must succeed on a DC 20 Will save or be rendered insane upon their exit. This is one of the few consistent ways one can access The Void.
One must take care describing where one wishes to travel, for it is not by your will which you travel, but by presumably Asratu. Asking to be transported to one's heart's desire or other open ended requests will be granted, but not always as intended.
The ritual is associated with Asratu, said to summon up an aspect of the deity if not the deity itself. Its form cannot be comprehended in this dimension, appearing as gates in this world.

Casting Time: 1 hour
Pre-Requisites: Must be performed at specific dates and locations, must either sacrifice a sapient being or offer up a portion of your being which deals 1d10 points of ability drain to all mental ability scores, must have a dark insight score of at least 5.
