Thinka-Dink[edit]

So after thinking RNG breakage in other parts of the system, I came across the Paladin once more. In a similar vein to the monk, Divine Grace is an ability that has the potential to completely break the system just from the RNG.
To fix that, what if instead of a straight bonus to saves, instead Divine Grace gave Spell Resistance?
A few formulas that could be used for figuring out how much Spell Resistance could be gotten:

  • 11 + Paladin Level
  • 7 + 3x Charisma modifier
  • Charisma modifier + Paladin Level

The one chosen depends on whether we want the paladin level to matter for this, or keep it entirely on Charisma, or make it a combination of the two. Each one scales differently at different levels, having spikes of power, though by level 20 all of them normalize to around the same place (as long as you continue taking Paladin levels, making the Paladin less dippable for sorcerers and the like).
