Very useful buff for reach weapons.

I think adding more detriment to facing reach weapons is exactly what they need. Historically, reach would be used to keep the opponent in your range (or even out, if you want to prevent them from coming closer) while you remain out of theirs.

Currently, reach weapons in 3.5e have little to no practical use, and are often more of a detriment unless you're able to hit within 5ft through a feat. Enemies can simply run past your spear, which, in all fairness to plausibility, is the stupidest idea someone could do against a spear, but in D&D it is standard practice.

Effectively, the feat allows a reach user more control over the battlefield which is precisely the purpose of a long weapon, and is a good buff in that regard for reach practicality and usability.

The only thing that confuses me is that the feat is a high balance one, but the effect is not extremely impactful on the imbalance of a game. I would suggest Moderate balance.

Basically the same as Thicket of Blades which I very much like without the need to spend feats getting into the discipline.
