Wording[edit]

"the target takes a -2 penalty to all defenses against the triggering ally's attack". Do you mean the attack that already missed (ie. check again and see if it now hits)? Or do you mean any subsequent attacks for the encounter? If that is the case, this should probably be a daily when combined with the shifting dune form (which still might be over the top). Consider at high levels, you would be granting around a -10 to their defenses, which means every attack from your ally will certainly hit. If it is one attack, it is a bit more reasonable. --Aarnott 23:01, 12 April 2012 (UTC)

Yes - as an Immediate Interrupt, it is applied against the attack that missed and therefore gives another shot at letting the attack hit. (Of note, if the attacker did not have combat advantage against the target for that attack, this power grants it.) However, it would probably be better stated as "the triggering attack" instead of "the triggering ally's attack" - I'll fix that, since the penalty doesn't last until the end of the encounter.
