| I love flavorful skills and feats, and I love flavorful skills and feats even more if they're useful. Being able to access basically Bardic Knowledge is a lot of fun, and can be quite helpful.
However, being able to gain ranks in Bardic Knowledge (through History) may be somewhat broken, since Bardic Knowledge can lead to some pretty esoteric information that borders on divination magic. That's why it's so limited in bonuses. I'd prefer if the feat gave you a Bardic Knowledge-like ability that acts the same so that it doesn't get broken, because a history book is pretty easy to find, but a competence/circumstance bonus to Bardic Knowledge is very rare. |
