From the first time I saw this class, it jumped out at me as granting any number of PCs interesting options that they could use in a dynamic fashion over the course of an encounter. Favored.

A solid and straightforward prestige class. Open enough for most any melee combat character to find it appealing in some way. Interestingly, I find that the flavor of this class matters little in the concerns of the development of the character. This is good. Often, prestige classes define who the character is by his abilities. While there is nothing wrong with that, it can easily make looking for a prestige class that fits with what your character is and how you perceive him a tricky undertaking. Well, look here, those of you out there.

Update: Low skill points per level is a bit of a bummer.
