Much better than the original regeneration, allowing players not to resort to cheese (such as suffocating the creature with rocks) to kill such monsters.

Immortality Suggestion[edit]

An idea for having actual "cannot be killed by other materials" might be to make creatures who are brought to 1 (and cannot be brought any lower without the material which they are vulnerable to) be panicked while they can see the creatures who have acted together to bring them down until they hit 50% from their natural regeneration, frightened while they can see the creatures while above 50%, and shaken while they can't see them. These would all last 24 hours, and would simultaneously achieve the goal of not having the PCs have to have the solution at the given moment, while also making the creatures truly immune to death against things which they are not vulnerable against, which is more in keeping with the lore. They could still be puzzle creatures later on when PCs have time to relax, take a breather, or do research, but in the heat of combat the first time they are encountered they would stop being combatants or otherwise a threat to the PCs. --Ghostwheel (talk) 16:47, 23 September 2019 (MDT)
