There are a number of ways to get on-demand temporary HP at will, even from level one. This combined with, say, Stone Power, makes refilling HP a non-issue.

You're saying that like effective fast healing 1 at level 1 is a big deal. --Sulacu (talk) 16:40, 18 November 2015 (UTC)
Or that an at-will Cure Light Wounds wand isn't dirt cheap and even more effective at refilling your HP. LenKagetsu (talk) 18:15, 18 November 2015 (UTC)
At levels 1-4 or so? Pretty pricey, considerably more than what a single item any character should have at those levels. This might not hurt the game at higher levels, but at lower ones where HP is still a daily resource that must be managed (rather than a per-encounter resource), it's effectively a number of levels jump in power. I would put a minimum level on it in the form of a skill or BAB requirement or something to balance that out so people can take it at level 5-6+. --Ghostwheel (talk) 18:42, 18 November 2015 (UTC)
Honestly, I don't really see your problem with this. After all, this feat doesn't actually alter the total amount of damage you can take at any point. Your sum of hp + temp hp doesn't even change. It's main strength is that it lets you use sources of temp hp to also recover actual health over time and out of combat. --Sulacu (talk) 20:05, 18 November 2015 (UTC)
