Tiefling is a species in 5th edition (2024).

[1] Unofficial Description: Tieflings (pronounced TEE-flings) are humanoids connected to a devil, demon, or other Fiend. Most some have physical trait that suggests their fiendish legacy.

Tiefling Character Traits[edit]

Tiefling [1] (species)
Creature Type: Humanoid
Size: Small or Medium (about 3-7 feet tall)
Speed: 30 feet
As a Tiefling, you have these special traits.
Darkvision. Unofficial Summary: Gain Darkvision (60 feet).
Fiendish Legacy. Unofficial Summary: Your legacy grants you abilities at 1st character level, 3rd, and 5th. At 3rd and 5th you learn and always have prepared certain spells that require spell slots with Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma as your spellcasting ability. Once per Long Rest you can cast these spells without using a spell slot. See Fiendish Legacies table.
Otherworldly Presence. Unofficial Summary: You know and can cast the Thaumaturgy cantrip (same spellcasting ability as your Fiendish Legacy trait.
