Vratimsgot teaches that a creature's worth is dependent on its mass.

The slow chemical interactions of trees eventually created a deity who felt the vague opinions of lifeforms proportionally to their mass. The long lives of big organisms gave Vratimsgot an appreciation for survival.

Vratimsgot is often attributed with making Undead and negative energy detect as Evil.

Dogma[edit]

Vratimsgotists worship plant-life as the highest form of life, since plants can survive without killing. As a somewhat shortsighted reaction to this, most Vratimsgotists only eat meat. It's not quite that simple, though: Vratimsgotists are forbidden from eating the flesh of any creature larger or older than theirself.

Obviously, killing a 600 ton Giant Sequioa is worse than killing 5000 people. Both are still horrible enough that they should be avoided if at all possible.

All Vratimsgotists accept that killing a creature in order to create another creature of the same mass is bad. How bad, however, is something that is frequently disputed, and has not yet been settled by Vratimsgot herself; perhaps she hasn't decided yet. Few Vratimsgotists hold the continuation of life so sacred that they wouldn't kill a person who is preventing the growth of a new forest.

Vratimsgotists usually aspire to break free of their need for food and ability to die of old age. Human Vratimsgotists tend to do so by becoming Elans.

Clergy and Temples[edit]

Temples of Vratimsgot are generally living trees grown into the shape of buildings. Preachers of the faith stand on platforms grown from the trees, far above their flock, and tell tales of the jungle-growing heroes, martyrs, and terraformers of Vratimsgot.

Clerics of Vratimsgot are usually incredibly obese from all of the magically created food they eat, and are seldom respected until they are older than the average lifespan of their people.

Mechanical Effect: Clerics of Vratimsgot (and devout members of other divinely magical classes) weigh twice as much as normal, and move 5' more slowly, but they age at only one-quarter the normal rate.

Pantheon[edit]

Vratimsgot is a natural counterpart to Bceilieod, but she's also slightly redundant in a setting where he exists.
