When you begin casting this spell, you designate any number of creatures and objects within close range. Those creatures that you target become aware that you are casting this spell, know what it will do, and know how much longer they have.

When the spell has been cast (after 8 rounds of casting), all targets you designated as you began casting this spell die and take 5d12 points of Force damage per caster level (maximum 75d12), unless they are on a different plane or managed to stop you (e.g. breaking concentration or killing you). The Force damage is still dealt if the target is immune to Death effects (by virtue of being an object, for example).

If you stop being within 50 feet of where you started casting this spell at any time during the casting, the spell fails.

''Focus:''  A magic item worth at least 10,000 gp, which you must wave around or make levitate while casting the spell.
