The ''Folding Foiling Trimaran'' looks like a small wooden box—about 12 inches long, 6 inches wide, and 6 inches deep. It can be used to store items like any other box. If a command word is given, however, the box unfolds to a  hydro-foiled trimaran (three hulled catamaran) 60 feet long, 40 feet wide (consisting of three hulls with the center hull 10 ft. wide, two outer hulls 5 ft. wide, and 10 ft between them), 2 1/2 feet deep (2 1/2 ft. draft). Any objects formerly stored in the box now rest inside the boat or ship. A second command word causes the boat to fold itself into a box once again.

In its expanded form, the trimaran has three connected hulls for perfect stability. It has one small stepped mast and a larger mast on the center hull with two lateen ''Everful'' sails for sailing on open water as well as an advanced retractable hydrofoil system installed and designed by Ronen. Hydrofoils, or foils, increase the speed of a vessel drastically. A foil's shape and angle of attack generates lift (force generated perpendicular to flow) that is greater than the drag (force generated parallel to the flow) when moving through the water. This allows the trimaran to fly above the water, breaking free of the drag and rough ride of a board moving through the water. In essence, the multiplier for wind speed is nearly doubled. So when the wind multiplier is normally x1, the multiplier is now x2, a wind speed multiplier of x2 is now x3, and a wind speed multiplier of x3 is now x5. Foils must not be used in ''Severe'' strength or stronger winds as these forces will cause the foils to rip from the hull, resulting in the boat to founder. The ship has even more room for cargo and passengers, contained within an extradimensional space. The entry point to this space is a horizontal shimmering in the central hull in the air about 4 feet wide. Only those Ronen designates can enter this space, and the extradimensional portal is shut and made invisible behind him when he enters. Those without authorization to enter instead continue to meander about in the central hull. Ronen can open the portal again from his own side at will. Those who pass beyond the portal’s entrance find themselves in a magnificent foyer with many staterooms whose doors open from this space. The atmosphere is clean, fresh, and warm. You can create any deck plan you desire within the limit of the spell’s effect. The cabins are furnished, and the galley contains sufficient foodstuffs and preparation equipment to serve three full meals per day per person. A staff of near-transparent pursers (up to two per caster level), liveried and 
obedient, wait upon all who enter. 
They function as unseen servant spells except that they are visible and can go anywhere within the extradimensional space. Since the place can be entered only through its special portal, outside 
conditions do not affect the passenger space, nor do conditions inside it pass to the plane beyond. Bad weather or other marine hazards can still threaten the vessel, but even if it sinks, the passenger space remains safe and isolated (though exiting it might prove difficult). The ship is crewed by a minimum complement of spectral deckhands, which perform the basic tasks of maintenance. These, like the cabin servants, behave as unseen servants but can travel anywhere on board ship and can enter the extradimensional space if you so direct. The spectral deckhands respond to the direction of the helmsman, reducing the number of crew necessary to control the caravel to 1. If you do not provide 
a real helmsman, the ship will steer 
itself on the last course a living 
helmsman provided but will not be 
able to avoid collisions or hazards or adjust to changing conditions.

== '''History''' ==
A little over a millennia and a half ago, Ronaan was an Aventi orphan discovered after Inspired from the ''Harmonious Sail'' dispatched some Sahuagin slave traders; and decided his aquatic blood would be a perfect empty vessel for an Elan candidate. After he was translated into a "New made" Elan, Ronaneth served the ''Harmonius Sail'' in Dar Ulatesh. 


Prior to the siege on Kasshta Keep in 702 AT (-100YK), the Inspired military devised a plan to create a super elan for the ''Edgewalkers'' by experimenting with using the ''{{Anchor|Mind Seed}}'' power in combination with other powers. They decided that Ronaneth with his aquatic traits would be the perfect candidate to meet the challenge. Ronaneth willingly agreed to this experiment with the hope of redeeming the ''il altas'' imprisoned inside him. In a high security kintam (Inspired military citadel), Ronaneth underwent procedures where he received several Silthilar grafts. Meanwhile, ten epic level Kalaraq Inspired (one Psion from each discipline, three Erudite Psions, and one Wilder who acted as the conductor for strategic reasons) formed a more powerful psionic entity using the [[SRD:Metaconcert|Metaconcert]] power. Then this entity manifested [[SRD:Mind_Seed|Mind Seed]] on a willing Usvapna Inspired Wilder.  After the ''Mind Seed'' successfully germinated, the Wilder was sent to Dor Maleer to gain more experience fighting creatures in the wild zones. When he returned as a 27th level Wilder, he and a 25th level D'jed-Hai [[SRD:Monk|Monk]]  ''[[SRD:Fusion|Fused]]''. This fused being then manifested ''Mind Seed'' on Ronaneth as the final stage of this elaborate experiment; eventually granting him the powers and knowledge of a lesser version of the psionic entity formed by the series of ''Metaconcert'' and ''Fusion'' powers.


One day while on a mission outside his sentry tower, Ronaneth's strong psionic presence attracted two aboleths underwater off the coast of Dor Maleer and the Tashana Tundra in the Sea of Rage, and this is where things take a turn in Ronaneth's life. Having the prowess of such a powerful psionic entity housed in his mind the aboleths were unable to offer much of a fight to Ronaneth and he dispatched them. He learned their home was an underwater ''Deep Crystal Cave'' in the Tiiki river and he swam to its core to  meditate in it knowing of such a cave's lore. He not only meditated for the eight hours required to receive the bonus feat, but he mediated for another four hours WITHOUT EVER HAVING FAILED A SAVE and gained the [[Patriarch_(3.5e_Template)|Patriarch]] template. After meditating those twelve hours, he pondered the validity of the ''Path of Inspiration'' and his efforts concluded it's evil nature which deprives a society of liberty. With this new knowledge and power, Ronaneth threw down his allegiance to the Inspired, becoming what the Dreaming Dark call a Rogue Shadow. He also changed his name to Ronen Kine and founded the Order of D'jed-Hai Shadows, an organization dedicated to eradicating the threat the Dreaming Dark poses.


Ronen abandoned his post with the Edgewalkers and now sails the coast of the Aventus Islands terrorizing the Inspired who occupy those islands. He is currently recruiting in the town of Saltmarsh on the horseshoe island in the northern part of the bay. Here he managed to find a buried treasure on the small Oak Island from a map he happened upon (the Inspired had disposed of the druids years ago). With all this new found wealth, Ronen set out to begin recruiting for his new organization dedicated to thwarting the Inspired's progress at occupying the Aventus islands. It was during his attempting to recruit that he discovered there already was an assassin's guild in Saltmarsh. Through some discreet information gathering he learned the location of the guild and approached them to recruit them or dispose of them. Now Ronen, is the leader of the ONLY assassin's guild in Saltmarsh, the Order of D'jed-Hai Shadows, which is still based behind the Flounder Pounder.

As an Elan, Ronen has an indefinite lifespan, however he has an [[SRD:Astral_Seed|Astral Seed]] manifested should he ever meet an unforeseen fatal mishap during an ''Assassination'' on the Quori. Ronen's favorite tactic to dispatch a quori on Dal Quor (preferably a  Dream Master Quori, an Usvapna Inspired Dreamblade, or Inspired Inquisitor) involves preventing a quick getaway with  '''[[SRD:Psionic_Dimensional_Anchor|Psionic Dimensional Anchor]]''' (DC 38) preventing any attempt by the Quori to ''teleport''. If Ronen is encountering an Inspired, he manifests '''[[Psionic_Lifebound_(3.5e_Power)|Psionic Lifebound]]''' (DC 41). The following rounds of combat involve Ronen using a move action to regain his psionic focus and then manifesting a ''maximized'' '''AND''' ''empowered'' '''[[SRD:Ego_Whip|Ego Whip]]''' (with ''Wild Surge'' DC 50) until the Quori is disabled. Immediately following a successful encounter,  Ronen [[#Consume_Psyche|''consumes'']] the psyche of the quori. This keeps Ronen actively fighting the Inspired and Quori. If Ronen is drawn into melee combat, he engages with his powerful unarmed strikes and flurry of blows.

Ronen developed this technique from enduring the process of Elan making and combined it with the way an Erudite Psion learns discipline powers and commits them to his repertoire, as well as observing the initiation ritual of making a Quori Mindhunter (''MoE'' 77). Ronen projects himself into a pocket dreamscape, on the edge of Dal Quor by manifesting ''[[SRD:Dream_Travel|Dream Travel]]''. Ronen then causes the dreamscape to produce random psychic emissions (''Psychic Beacon''), enough to attract a nearby quori to investigate. When this happens, Ronen must disable the quori or Inspired in combat. When Ronen disables a Quori or Inspired, he gains additional power from it by consuming the victim's liberated energy of consciousness, '''or''' he can use that same liberated energy of consciousness to ''[[SRD:Mind_Seed|Mind Seed]]'' an individual (making up for the XP cost of the power). Once contact is made, a Psicraft check (DC 15 + HD of the disabled victim) is required to consume the victim's psyche. Finally, Ronen must leave Dal Quor and immediately expend his psionic focus to complete the binding. If Ronen is interrupted during this process, he can’t completely consume the psyche or gain the benefits.
A quori that has been consumed by Ronen cannot be restored to life through any means. There is no limit to the number of Quori psyches Ronen can consume in this fashion, but he only advances when Ronen consumes a Quori or Inspired whose HD are equal to at least half Ronen's own hit dice. For example, Ronen can only advance by consuming the psyche of a Quori who had at least 13 HD. Should Ronen choose to advance, Ronen's Hit Dice, his Manifester level (he does not add class features from any of his manifesting classes), and Charisma each increase by +1. He also adds power points to his reserve from his Charisma score increasing as well. His saving throw and base attack bonuses improve according to the rules for epic characters. He gains additional skill points equal to 2 + his Intelligence modifier. Now whenever Ronen uses this consumed energy to imbue another subject with his ''Mind Seed'', that individual (once the seed is fully integrated) becomes a Wilder 19 (along with all the abilities of an 17th level Monk because of the ''Fused'' entity which manifested ''Mind Seed'' on Ronen), but does not acquire the ''Consume Psyche'' ability, any epic feats, the [[Illuminator,_Elan_(3.5e_Feat)|Elan, Illuminator]] feat, nor the ''Patriarch'' template.
