You focus incredible dark energy upon the target, causing a sphere of destructive energy to engulf it. The target is dealt 1d6 damage per caster level (maximum 15d6), half of the damage is typeless damage and the other half is negative energy. This negative energy does not heal undead or other creatures healed by it, but does not damage them. The target is left [[SRD:Staggered|staggered]] for 1d4 rounds, a successful [[Fortitude]] negates this effect but not the damage. If the target is slain by this spell, its is reduced to scattered ash, leaving only its magical equipment behind.

All creatures adjacent to the target are dealt splash damage equal to the spell's minimal damage, with a [[Reflex]] save allowed for half.
