[[Summary::Sometimes undead aren't just rotting corpses that have been animated to follow another: sometimes, corpses get burnt to cinders before becoming undead.]] These undead are often referred to as the "ashbound fallen" and are rightly feared for their torrid prowess. Ashbound fallen are most commonly found in deserts and within the craters of volcanoes, where their bodies roast naturally, though it is not uncommon to see them in dungeons, where they have been purposefully made.

===Creating a Ashbound Fallen===

Ashbound fallen is an acquired template that can be applied to any [[SRD:Undead Type|undead]] creature whose body has spent 3 or more continuous days exposed to temperatures above 130 degrees Fahrenheit without any way of enduring the temperature, referred to here after as the base creature. There may be other ways to add this template to an [[SRD:Undead Type|undead]] creature, but they are subject to the DM's discretion.
