Designed to face against eldritch threats which often requires travel to hostile outer planar environments, and the armor can assist in returning you to your home plane if you become lost.  You may return to your native plane over the course of 1 round whenever you are extraplanar or within the [[Dark Insight (3.5e Variant Rule)|warped plane]], as if using ''[[SRD:Plane Shift|plane shift]]'' (self only).  This provokes attacks of opportunity.  This also occurs as a non-action if you happen to perish while wearing the armor on another plane.
