This spell transforms the target's significant physical qualities (such as height, weight and gender) within the normal range of his base race as well as altering his minor physical qualities (such as hair, skin, eyes, voice, features) beyond the normal range of his base race at the caster's choosing. The target's equipment changes size to fit any necessary alterations, but does not otherwise change in appearance. Additionally, the target regains any lost hit points as though he had rested for a night.

The target may dismiss the effects of ''alter form'' as a [[SRD:Standard Actions|standard action]], leaving him [[SRD:Dazed|dazed]] until the start of his next turn. If the spell is not dismissed or dispelled by the end of the duration, the effects are then applied [[SRD:Duration (Spell Descriptor)#Instantaneous|instantaneously]].

If the target uses this spell to create a thorough disguise, he gains a +10 circumstance bonus on his [[SRD:Disguise Skill|Disguise]] check.

|Minor Physical Qualities Beyond the Normal
|This is left open in the description for the reason of not limiting the creativity when it comes to additional changes to a character given the number of races available and their strange features. This does not allow a character to disguise himself as a member of another race, but it might make him look unusual and exotic. The limiting factor here is that these minor feature changes don't grant bonuses to anything. So, use some judgement and probably disallow a character 80 feet of luxurious white hair he can then sell to a wig shop.
