Juvenile Froghemoths have progressed beyond the {{5ed|Froghemoth Hatchling}} stage, but are not quite adults. They usually stay submerged in a swamp, river, or other body of water, exposing only their eyestalks. When prey comes within reach, they lunge forward attacking with their tentacles and tongue. They then drag their prey back into the water where they usually have an advantage. Juveniles quickly grow into {{5ed|Froghemoth Adult}}s, taking only several months if prey is plentiful.
