This little device loved by thieves and smugglers looks like a small 7 inch cannon with a single bullet and an activation latch. The device can be attached to a sword, (in place of an alchemical capsule tank), a pair of boots, a glove, a crossbow, or any solid object that allows it to be activated quickly. The weapon can only fire one shot, inflicting 1d6 piercing damage at a distance of 40 feet, and automatically having a -4 attack penalty due to the lack of practicality of the device. The device is sold with 10 bullets and a mounting kit including screws, straps, buckles, and various rivets in order to fix it. Installing or removing the device requires a [[SRD: Disable Device|Disable Device]] check (DC15). Once installed, it can be used as an immediate action, and recharges in a full round. Due to its small size, it is easy to hide in clothing, and using it inconspicuously requires a [[SRD:Sleight of Hand|Sleight of Hand]] check (DC25).
