This ability is a standard action and functions just as Ki Volley, except that if his attack misses the target, a user can guide and direct the orb mentally to prevent it from colliding with an object and then redirect it either back to the same target for a 2nd attempt or even to a whole new target altogether. If the orb goes out of sight of the target and you redirect it back at the target from an angle where they can't see it, they are considered flat-footed for the second attempt. 

If the second attempt misses as well, the user can keep the ki moving and may use the same Ki Volley during his turn next round for his attack and even target a new target if need be. If the first attack roll fails on this round, he may attempt a second one as before. Redirecting the orb during the second round in this manner is a full-round action. This ability can also be used to chase a moving target around corners, even if the target goes up or down, so long as the Saiyan has line of sight to direct the orb's movement.
