A touch from your hand, which crackles with lightning between your index and ring fingers, disrupts the body of living creatures.  Each touch channels electric energy that deals 1d4 points of damage plus your casting ability modifier. The touched creature also is staggered from pain for 1 round.  A successful Fortitude saving throw negates both damage and staggering. You can use this melee touch attack up to one time per level.

This spell can be channeled through metal weapons, using a normal attack roll. 

Non-living or undead creatures, and creatures immune to pain, cannot be staggered.  They can still take the electric damage as normal.  Creatures with the [Water] subtype take double damage from this attack.
