All enemies in a 30-feet radius (9 meters) must make a Will save. When they fail a severed hand appears on their head. They don't feel or see it. Affected foes lower their [[SRD:Diplomacy_Skill#Influencing_NPC_Attitudes|attitude]] towards nearby people by one stage, whetever it previously was. 

Starting from 7th, when the save is failed, the attitude is lowered by two stages, usually resulting in previous allies attacking each other (as they attack the nearer "foe"). When the save is successful the target is still subject to the original effect, described on top.

This effect lasts 1 minute per class level. A target that succeeds the save may not be affected again until the next day.

[[SRD:Diplomacy_Skill#Fanatic|Fanatic]] characters are unaffected by this effect, but they are [[SRD:Sickened|sickened]], if they fail the save.

This is a [[SRD:Mind-Affecting Effect|mind-affecting]] effect, but any creature that may be subjected to hate may be affected, regardless of immunity.

This invocation may be learned only by a warlock that has the Hand of Hate as a [[Project Patron (3.5e Other)|patron]].
