When you cast this spell your first target is designated the "leader", with subsequent targets as followers 1, 2, 3, and so forth.  When the leader moves, the followers follow suit on the leader's turn moving the same distance and path as the person ahead of them in line, or attempting to return to a path where they are following the leader if not on the path.  They move at the leader's speed even if they would otherwise be incapable (or do not possess a movement speed for it).  During this, followers are unable to move on their own other than moving 5 ft on their turn.  Every follower can choose not to follow the train as a move action, at which point the spell ends for them and subsequent followers move up the train line by 1.  If the leader breaks the train, the train ends for all subjects.

Applied to objects, individual objects must be within the carrying capacity of the leader (and medium and heavy loads slow the entire train as such), but each object is considered separately.  Thus a leader can suppose an endless amount of followers so long as no single follower exceeds its load limit.  Objects need not have a means of locomotion, but objects without wheels or some other locomotion may drag along the ground which may prove hazardous to the object or the ground.
