He must be aware of the attack and not flat-footed"'' So only once per round, requires reflex save, can't be flat-footed, and it makes "a while slew of character archetypes non-functional"? Yeah, I guess it really hurts all those character archetypes that only ever get one attack per round, but for everyone else there's Mastercard, and a really expensive shield so the fighter can have nice things. From the text on Arrow Deflection: "Once per round when he would normally be struck by a ranged weapon, he can make a DC 20 Reflex save.
